Exploring Solutions Past is a research and outreach-based non-profit organization focused on preserving the Maya forest as a cultural resource of global significance. Headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, Exploring Solutions Past promotes the worldwide adoption of environmentally-based indigenous practices that demonstrate sustainable paths to conservation, abundance, and prosperity.
Our innovative programs are multi-faceted, integrating traditional sustainable agriculture, community development, environmental education, and cutting edge archaeology. Our goal is to grow the Maya tradition of forest gardening and to support adaptive management of ancient Maya sites.
