Proof your donation was received, processed and benefit awarded

Each reusable computer, phone or tablet that's donated receives a unique, Device Passport. The Device Passport is a webpage that gives donors documented proof that their donation benefited their chosen charity, the donation was received, and the data was securely destroyed.

  • Each donation has a unique record of what was donated and the charity it benefited.
  • Hardware specifications for each reusable computer is recorded and viewable on the passport. Details include the serial number, make, model, processor, and other hardware specifications.
  • A data destruction certificate is available for download.
  • Details recorded on Device Passport can be used to prepare itemized tax write-off documentation.
  • How it works

    • Donors fill out the donation form and enter the number of items they plan to donate.
    • Once the form is submitted ID numbers (we call Tech Tags) are created for each device that will get donated.
    • Donors receive links to the Tech Tags in an email.
    • When the device is received, custom software is used to capture its hardware details and wipe the data. The details are recorded to the device's associated Digital Passport.
    • Links to the Digital Passports are sent to the donors, along with their donation receipt.
